<p>In 2198, Americans live and die by the wires. Wires connect them to electronic devices, strangling free thought and independent action. Human beings now act like puppets: vapid, complacent, and controlled by their strings.</p> <p>Bree McAnderson grew up away from such technology but understands its harmful effects all too well.
